Default HOW TO: CUSTOM PAINT and FENDER MOD

Well, I will post pics as I gain progress. These photos here are not as good because it was late and all I had was my cell phone to snap the shots as I went. Tommorow after work I will use my digital camera and take pictures as I go. I hope to have it fully welded, filled in, and primed tommorow.
I am also repainting the bike and a few other things and I will do a "HOW TO: Paint your bike" as I get there. It will be black with House of Kolor Silver to green color shifting flames. If I can get my buddy off his a*s I'll post pics of him doing some striping.
Thanks everyone for looking!
Danny

Picture #6:Welding it in solid
Picture #7:Welded and ground down smooth
Picture #8:Feathered out, Evercoat Glaze putty applied, blocked and feather edged around ready for primer.
Picture #9:Primed
Picture #10:Un-masked, finished with the "shave" Body work complete and nowready forPaint ... my favorite part!!

Now that the bodywork and priming are complete .. I'll finish off painting the fender when I paint the bike. Not a real hard mod if your good with your hands and have a little talent. There are easier ways to do it but this is as close to right as a guy can get. Do not use a lot of mud (body filler) thick wise. If you cant weld the patch in straight enough and not warp it enough to just grind it down and have it almost smooth .. take it to a body shop and have them weld it and bodywork it for you. It'll save you thye time and stress and hey .. thats how I make a living. lol

abc, Looks like you do great work and I can't wait to see the finished product. I have a spare fender I want shaved and finding someone that is good enough and that has the time is hard to find. All the painters around here want to load me up with bondo and call it good, huh...

Look forward to more pics and thanks for posting! Mojo
