Man I got some handle bar risers and got rid of the floorboards. WOW! What a difference in comfort. My reach is so much better with the Harley standard pullback risers, they are the 4&1/2inch. And the pegs, they just make my 05 Fat Boy look so much better. You actually get a better stretch with the forward control pegs. All I can say is WOW what a difference.

 

Can you give me some more information about the forward controls you purchased. Manufacturer, price, company bought from, etc. I am looking to do the same thing and stretch out on pegs.

Hmmm, I went in exactly the opposite direction on my FXST. Just didn't like long trips with my boots hangin' off the fwd pegs and after I snapped a one of those "stirrups," I bought a set of Fatboy controls off of eBay. I find I have a lot more room to move around with the skis and a set of KW Stretchers (who seem to be out of business now) mounted in front of them.

Stock FXST controls are an easy bolt-on and are readily available on eBay.

what kind of forward controls are you using?

 

I put the Kuryakyn Floorboard Eliminator Kit on my 03 Fatboy.

Did you gain ground clearance?

 

I have the front and back lowered 1 1/4" and I did gain some clearance. Although I haven't had it out on any real twisties yet to try it out.

 

I just bought the standard forwards from harley and got the billett narrow pegs all around along with the hand grips.
