Check these guys out;

If nothing else you'll get an education of what reasonable and possible with your stock seat, as well as what its goingto cost you.

I haven't had one on my Hog, but I have had them on sportbikes. I would definately say +1 for that. You don't know how good they are until you ride another bike without one, and the difference is amazing.

The ones I had, however, had a different material on them, and they weren't waterproof. That sounds pretty stupid, but there you go. When touring, I'd carry a small kitchen garbage bag with me to put over the seat overnight.

My two cents.

I've got a Lepera Bare Bones w/gel, "Biker Gel" as Lepera calls it, and I LOVE it! A little extra $ but worth it imho.

Same here, my LaPerra was a bit pricey, but the gel sure beats the crap outta the stock Badlander seat!
On the other hand, my dad has a Mustang seat on his Honda, it's not 'gel' but sure feels good. I could sit on that thing all day long. Would have gotten on for my Night Train but wanted a low profile seat. Anyway that's off topic....sorry

notafatboy,
What exactly did you have them do to your seat. I have been looking around to "maybe" get my Customs seat modified a little (narrow the front and push meforward a couple of inches) and am interested in howtheir work came out for you.
