Default Road King neck cover

Hi all,

I was looking through the 2006 HD accessory catalogue for a chrome neck cover ('06 Road King) to clean up that ugly area. Found one, but it says it's for the '99 and later EG. Has anyone found one of these for their RK, or is it something I need to fabricate?

Thanks

Kuryakn makes one that is different in style from the HD product, but looks nice-they also make down tube covers that extend the chrome from the neck to the bottom of the frame-nice look.

If you don't want chrome, Arlen Ness makes a black pvc one (paintable by the way). I like the way it cleans up the frame neck and hides the wires/cables on the right side. Good advice on being able to remove the cover, hadn't thought about covering the VIN #. The ness part is supposed to fit beteen the front tank mount and the frame neck but it won't. Remove the tank bolt (one side at a time) and it goes on pretty easy. Need to trim the front edge to get it under/behind the front of the neck.

I bought a Kuryakyn...Was easy to put on and looks good. You can find them all day on e-bay at a good price.

Kuryakyn is the way to go. Had it on my '05 RK Classic. Very nice finish.

I'm going the other way with this one... a buddy of mine just put these on and I've got to say..It looks kinda wierd as now the entire frame is black (Like a hog ought to be ) with the exception of the down tubes. Cool if your into that look though. To me it looks kinda fake and cheap. No doubt there needs to be something that covers those ugly wires and such on the neck. That too looks cheap.
