If you are a Harley Davidson rider, you probably have a lot of Harley stuff -- perhaps the most permanent accessory being a tattoo. To fully appreciate this kind of body art, you really need to have some understanding of the history of Harley Davidson tattoos and tattoos in general.

The History of Tattoos

Tattoos predate written history. In fact, a preserved human found frozen from five thousand years ago had 57 tattoos. The practice of tattooing was a big part of ancient Egyptian culture. Since these early examples, tattoos have been a prevalent type of body art throughout various cultures in history. Until recent times tattoos were regarded in modern society as something that sailors, criminals and undesirables had.

If you ride your motorcycle often, getting Harley Davidson boots is a great idea. Sure, it shows off a certain style sense to have the Harley Davidson boots when you are on your bike, but it goes beyond that. Harley Davidson boots are built with motorcycle riding in mind. They have a number of features built into their design that makes them extremely well suited to the task.

Temperature Control

If you own a Harley Davidson or are thinking about getting one, perhaps you've wondered what kind of options are out there for the seat. Any number of manufacturers produce aftermarket seats for Harleys, but the first place to look is at genuine Harley Davidson seats. They've got options for you.

Solo or Two-Up

If you are looking for tires for your Harley Davidson VRSC (V-Twin Racing Street Custom), you should find a lot of options out there. The question comes down to which ones should you buy for your bike? The original motorcycle in this family was 2001's V-Rod and was served up in response to the muscle bikes. The engine was designed in conjunction with Porsche. That makes this a high performance series of motorcycles and that deserves good tires.

If you have a Harley Davidson Touring bike you probably will be in the market for tires at some point or another. More often than not the people who buy one of the touring models do so because they plan to ride a lot. Touring bikes often get more miles driven then a lot of other motorcycle and will likely go through tires more frequently. It's good to know that there are plenty of options out there when you are shopping for tires.

As with any motorcycle, you should never take a chance with worn or cheap tires on your Harley Davidson. Since a motorcycle has only two wheels instead of a car or truck's four, each tire represents a larger percentage of the stability. One of the reasons motorcycles are as maneuverable as they are is that they are inherently less stable than four wheeled vehicles. That also means that the tires are even more important for stability. For so many reasons, your tires are one of the most important pieces of safety equipment on your Harley Davidson. So, keeping quality tires on your bike is one of the best ways to insure both your motorcycle and your body against damage from crashes.
