Ayyy! Fonzie’s Motorcycle to Jump Shark and Auction Block
Celebrity auctions tend to make bidders make rash decisions when it comes to collectibles that were vaguely associated with the celebrity in question. More often than not, it’s a toothpick once owned by Oprah with spinach still on the tip of it, or John Wayne’s hat from a futuristic sci-fi show he never appeared in.
However, occasionally, something truly awesome, and truly memorable come up for auction. And this is definitely one of those occasions. Additionally, what we speak of just happens to be a motorcycle. But not just any motorcycle, Fonzie’s motorcycle.
According to Profiles in History, the company responsible for the auction, Henry “aka Fonzie” Winkler’s Triumph TR5 motorcycle from Happy Days will be coming up for auction later next week. While the history of motorcycles and the Fonz is legendary.
The show started with a Knucklehead, and a Panhead, the motorcycle changed depending on where and when the show’s writers called for it. Over the course of the show, it was a Harley, a BSA, and a Triumph.
