Oakley motorcycle sunglasses
Does anybody know if Oakley makes sunglasses for motorcyling? I have abuddy that is going to the main facility this week to install security systems for them, & said he could get me some Rx sunglasses for 50% off. I can't seem to find any that have the foam on the inside, but I could swear I've seen them somewhere. I'm not that sold on the Oakley brand, but figured for 50% off, why not.

They do not have any with the foam as far as I know. I have wore Oakleys for years and they are worth the money to me. I currently have a set of "Twenties" that I ware all the time when I ride. They will keep the wind out of your eyes pretty well. Go to their website and see what pair you like. For 50% off I would get a pair for when I was not riding atleast. Bryan

Don't know of any Oakley models with foam inserts, but I have been riding with Gascans for a couple years now and they are great up to about 75 or 85 mph. Just got some of the Thump 2's (built on the same frame but with a mp3 player built in) so I can have some tunes until I nut up (or break down) and buy a fairing for the King.

I wear the Half Jackets with the square lenses for riding. Never had a problem and I love them. Also since they have removable lenses, I have a paire of yellow lenses for night riding as well. Just convinent for me.

OK, well I ride with the Half jackets.
They do an excellent job of blocking wind and sun all the way around. And mine are the perscription lenses. But here's an FYI for you. You will need to provide a perscription and a PD measurement in order to place an order. I buy mine from the Oakley main office and have been through the process before. Can your buddy get you that deal with the perscription in your name? And do you have a PD measurement? You won't usually find this on a standard perscription.

Same here. I have purchased a couple of sets on ebay. If you are patient you can get some great deals. The last set I got I paid about $55 with shipping
