VTwin adapters for Ultra rear pods??
I saw in a few other posts that the Biketronics 6.5 speakers will fit in the rear pods on an Ultra by using the VTwin adapters. What are the VTwin adapters? Are they the same adapters that are used to install the 6.5 speakers in the front fairing??
Thanks for the help.
FWIW, this is where I think I am heading:
- keeping the HK head unit, but will send to ICR for 4 pre amp connections.
- Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4 Punch BRT 300-Watt Ultra Compact 4-Channel Amplifier
- front speakers: Biketronics Inc. BT471 Titan II 6.5 Big Speaker Package for Harley-Davidson ( includes the adapters)
- rear speakers: probably the same speakers as the front...assuming these will fit.
Thanks for the help.

Tri...
I would't even consider that amp if I were you. If you don't listen to FM or mind risking losing some stations there's lots of better options out there. If you do listen to FM, there are a few options out there a bit more expensive. For the speakers, you want the BT 7P1's in the front instead of the 6.5's. I was on BT site yesterday and noticed they only had the 6.5's and the "Pros" listed. Perhaps they are sold out of the time being....I'd give them a call. The price difference between the 7P1's and the Titan 6.5's is not much and worth it.
As for the rears....someone with an ultra will have to chime on the spacers.

The adapters are nothing but spacer rings to give you more depth. They are about 1" thick and are glossy black plastic. Personally, I think they look balky and very aftermarket. I wanted to install Focal KRC's in my rear pods but went with the ICS165's to avoid using adapters.
As was already said, the PBR300x4 doesn't have a great reputation. Their 2 channel amp is supposed to be very good, but the 4 channel runs hot and is underpowered.

Take dgreen and haze's advice. Stay away from the PBR300X4 with the Biketronics speakers. You will not be a happy camper. If you you listen to FM you need the BT4180. End of story. If you can live without all of your FM stations. The Soundstream 1000D or the Power Acoustik 3000D are very good options. The only other thing you can do to get great sound on your Bike and keep FM is to purchase two PBR300X2 amps and mount them both in the fairing with 2 ohm Infinity 62.11i speakers.
