J&M 5258 5.25 speakers fitment 03 Ultra
The J&M HSUK 5258 5.25 8 Ohm speaker for the pre 05 Ultras.
Different sites have different info. Some say FRONT ONLY.... Others say Front & Rear Fitment. Any imput before I get to 2 sets and can't use but one?
I have the Enhanced Sound Sys w/Amp and am having problems finding replacement speakers for the upgraded ones from 12 yrs ago.I have been told they have to be 8 Ohm to prevent problems with heat and a few other things. So I am looking for a few pointers...

As for fitment, I would go by what the J&M site states. "They have been specifically designed for the fairing position (only) on all 1998-2005 Harley Ultra, ElectraGlide or RoadGlide"
Now with that said, the speakers are the same size, front and rear. The difference being the way they mount and the grills. Best thing to do is call John @ J&M and he'll help get you what you need. 800-358-0881

you are correct, 8-ohm speakers only for that '05 ultra system ,,,,,,,
the reason that it specifies fairing position ONLY on the J&M website, is that the magnet portion of the speaker is too large to fit in to the rear speaker trunk pods on the Ultra ,,,,,
I "CAN" put an 8-ohm custom rear pod speaker kit together for ultramac, with grill and spacer, for around $150 ,,,,,, and then the 8-ohm fairing speakers for the $99.99,,,,,,
OR he can install this amp, http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....JMAA-3600H-UNV and then he could use 2-ohm speakers all the way around without issues, any brand, including the J&Ms ,,,,,
