Default SEUC Speaker upgrade question

Have a 2006 SEUC and had hogtunes amp and Boom audio speakers installed in fairing and tourpack. Not real happy with sound though. Difficult to hear on highway and bass still poor.

Heard about Biketronics speakers Titan II 7.1 " or 6.5" upgrades for the fairing. One person said he doesn't even hook up the rear speakers on the tourpack since upgrading to the Titan speakers. Anyone have experience with these? Or anyone know of other good upgrades?

Thanks.

they are awesome and far superior to boom audio's crappy speakers.

the 6.5" or 7.1" will fit in the fairing and logic says to go the route of the 7.1" for various reasons, mainly the cost is the same.

Neither of these speakers will fit in the stock rear tourpak pods. The magnets are too large. If you want them in the rear pods and you don't use all the PTT/mode/etc controls on the rear tourpak pods, BT also sells the 6.5" and 7/1" kits that include the rear pods.

IMO, you can go down to walmart, pick up a pair of $22 scosche speakers and have a much better audio presence than with boom audio. Over-priced and over-exagerrated crap is all Boom Audio is.

Thanks. Is the hogtunes amp enough for these speakers or should I get a different amp?

You could use it if you didn't want to upgrade right away, but the 7.1's would thrive with more power.

I currently have a Hogtunes 160 W, 4 channel, 2 ohm amp.

What amp would you recommend I upgrade to for the Biketronics 7.1 speakers? What rear speakers would sound better than the boom harley speakers with the better amp?

I would change the speakers out first as you might just find you're ok with the amp you have. I will tell you though (as Pioneer74 stated above) those larger speakers are going to want some power behind them to make them shine.

The Polk, Infinity, will fit back there as drop in speakers with just the need for different screw holes. They're both great speakers
