Default Stripped Speaker Mounting Holes 2104 SGS

I know I stripped one of the speaker mounting holes in the front fairing speaker pods. What would anyone recommend as a way to fix this?

I have to say that HD's screws and such for this seem to be made for a one time install. Those screws eat plastic!

Use a tooth pick. Put it in the hole and break it off at the desired length.

The wood is softer than the plastic and will take up the void.

The toothpick will work, I prefer flat to round, they seem to be a little softer. Have also heard of guys using strands of a brillo pad.

Sometimes when a metal screw that must enter plastic causes a problem i tend to use RTV.
RTV room temperature vulcanization silicone. The black tube from autoparts store.
I place some on the screw threads and place some in the hole.
It sorta binds the screw in place, holds-up well with vibration but is removable.
Just need to put something in place to keep it from moving until dry.

JB Kwik weld and it will last a long time. Before using mark depth on appropriate sized drill bit with tape, then once set up drill just under that depth.
