Default Audio Question

Hello, I still have my stock HD radio and Ive added an Amp and speakers. My Problem is that my Audio fuse has to be pulled out an put back in for my speakers to activate, My fuse is not blown. It seems like its an relay or something causing this problem. Ive also went to a bigger fuse size a 15 to 25 fuse size.

Can anyone give me a solution ? Thanks

If you are talking your factory atc fuse DO NOT install a bigger fuse. Put the 15 back immediately. Now that said tell us what T asked for

Default Help with Audio

Hello, I have a 12 Stretgld, I have Stk Radio from HD, I installed 300wt Rocfgate amp , wth 2 6/8 Memphis in dsh, 2tweeters in dsh with HD sound bar across top. 2 6/9 Memphis in bags . I could take fuse push in and out turning power on an off, I could hear speakers kick in but for some strange reason now, I only see Radio light up with no sound at all, The Local HD dealer recommended I go up to larger size fuse from 15wt to 25 wt but that made no differ, I explained on phone had taken into shop as of yet. I was hoping its something simple, Please Reply

I'm amazed the dealer would tell you to go to a bigger fuse. A bigger fuse NEVER gets to the root cause as to why the fuse is blowing in the first place. Not to mention the 15 Amp fuse never blew. All you're doing by taking the fuse in and out is resetting the radio. I'd say your issue is in the radio. Doesn't have to be. But it's a good place to start. The stock radio has a very bad history for failure. This being 2016 on a 2012 It's time to replace it regardless.

You can also run a separate power wired (fused) to your battery directly, that is what I did on my SG just my opinion

My fuse hadnt blown, Thats the strange part.My original 15amp fuse didnt blow but i could take it out and put back in I could hear speakers kick in and radio would play but now I get nothing but radio lighting up with no sound.

Do you think my radio itself may be bad ?
