Default Help: Pioneer DEHX4800BT, PBR300x4 and Scosche HDSWC1 install...

Bike is a 2011 Ultra Classic ex-Cop bike basically turned into a Street Glide whole retaining stock works harness. So installed the Pioneer DEH-X4800BT along with the Rockford PBR-300x4 Amp and the new Scosche HDSWC1 thumb control module but am unable to get the thumb controls to work....The radio and amp are hooked up correctly and work properly until I plug the module in.. Once I put the 3.5mm jack in the radio the radio goes crazy doing all sorts of functions on its own. Unplug the jack and radio works properly again just no thumb control.. The Scosche directions are pretty straight forward but don't really mention Pioneer much so I'm hoping someone else has used the Scosche with Pioneer as all my searches have turned up mainly Sony uses. Am I missing something??

My only comment would be that I wished you would of came to the forum before you decided on that set up. In regard to tour handlebar issue I'm not familiar with the scosche interface for the hand controls. Normally you would have to program the unit to match your HU. Maybe someone here has some experience with the Scosche.

Did you cut the proper looped wires for your head unit on the hdswc1 module?
I just installed mine and it works great. I know it's the cheaper option, but I have had no issue so far.

The instruction for a pioneer radio aren't real clear on the 3.5mm Jack. It says you do not have to cut any of the looped wires.... I would call their CS line. I'm sure they will be able to help.

Got the new module from Scosche. Old one is bad. Plugged this one and bam. Works flawlessly!! So, info to remember for anyone running a Pioneer, only use the 3.5mm jack that comes with the kit. The blue/yellow wire is NOT hooked up to anything.

I'm using a Scosche as well on my '09 RG.. It just worked... I'm betting on a bad module!
