Mp3 gain is the program I use.
It is user friendly and let's you adjust the gain in the recording once it is down loaded on a PC.
The program will also let you know if the file is clipping
Agreed MP3Gain. Start out by setting Target Normal Volume to 93 dB.
Bertk,
93 Db, I like the way you think, seems most are settling on 89 Db!
So I can just put in for example c:/jj/music and let her rip? Do I have to specify a destination directory, if not, will it overwrite the MP3s where they are? Thoughts?

You can simply drag the files or folder into MP3Gain and run track analysis and track gain. The changes are saved within the file. There is a undo option. http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/faq.php
