Default Aftermarket Air Cleaner Question

I had to install an aftermarket unit to complete the upgrade to a cv carb. My question is should locktite be used on the screws holding in place? If so what grade. I was worried about damaging threads in carb if removal is necessary.

I ALWAYS use mild locktite...medium strength blue I think (anything but the Red high strength one).

Having said that they do have a website where all the products and their suitability are explained; which i found very helpful.

Blue Locktite is good. I don't use Locktite on the air cleaner screws, I use lock washers...never had any issues with those three or the parts that screw into the carb body. I have had the air cleaner cover screw get loose so I use a little blue Locktite on it.

I use blue on everything except where red is required. Definitely on the carb hardware.
