Default Carb slide vent hole repair?

In the process of removing a dynojet kit I found that the slide hole was drilled to a #29 bit which was larger than a 1/8" bit. I sealed the hole with jb weld and drilled a new hole on the other side of the slide directly opposite. After reading a few comments on this I realized many redrilled right next to the old hole after it's sealed up.

Does the side of the slide he vent hole is drilled on matter at all? Looking at it I don't believe so, but wasn't sure as it's on the air cleaner side now instead of the side closer to the intake.

Thanks.

it is a vacuum hole, bigger causes the slide to open quicker. but will be just as open at a constant vacuum

wrong side might cause it to open slower as it is farther from the throttle plate ..
and more room to lose vacuum..

way overthinking .....how does it run ??

That's why I'm asking. I developed a flat spot at 4500 rpms. Seems to me this shouldn't cause it but in the process of rejetting I thought I'd ask
