Default installing turn signal relocation kit on my street bob

anybody do it themselves, and how involved is it?
is there a lot of cutting and splicing going on? wiring isn't my best skill[8D]
i'd hate to hit the turn switch and have the horn honk instead

any advice would be appreciated

What are you putting on to move the turn signals. A sissy bar. It's not really that bad. The wirs are color coded (2 wires on each side). The wirs need to be cut and re-installed. Just follow the instructions ion the paper provided.

Is it the relocation to the license plate bracket? That's the one I did.
It's not bad. Just make sure to soldier any splices, you don't wantthe connectionto rattle loose latter. And use shrink tubing so it is water tight.

You may be able to disconnect the wires from the plugins. Use a paper clip or other small rod to press down inside the connector to release the catch. Be sure to make a diagram so you'll know how to reconnect them after the relocation.

Get a jack, all of this work is under the fender and if you dont' have a jack then you limit your room to work between the tire and fender. The cutting and splicing is very straight forward. Recommend heat shrink over splices to weather proof. You can get it from local auto parts store or Radio Shack.

Just did this to mine. Like the guys said... 2 wires on each side... real easy. The shrink sleave is good advice too, although the pinch connectors that come in the kit seal as well when heat is applied.
Good luck...
