Question Rear fender replacement advice...

'05 FXD:

Rear fender was stupidly bobbed short by previous owner, I need a full rear fender on the cheap...I saw a couple of eBay for Dynas of different years, checked the Ronnie's catalog and though they look the same in pictures, the part numbers are different...am I gonna get fitment issues if I buy a used fender from a different year Dyna? Say, 2004 down?

'00 rear fender 59634-99
'05 rear fender 59634-02

Yeah, they are. I just want to know if other years will fit between the struts.

Thanks for the advice. From what I've read, the only difference between those fenders is the positioning of the mounting holes. If drilling is all it takes to make it fit, then it shouldn't be a problem for me.

Thumbs up

Don't think JP Cycle's fender comes drilled at all so you can drill at will .

Thank you! I think I'll end up buying the Fat Bob style fender...it's the cheapest one...

Default Weld

Tack weld a flat washer to back of drilled hole to reinforce sheet steel.
