Default What would you pay?

Hey guys, so my 2004 wide glide (fxdwgi) was dropped by another drunk guy at a bar last year. Went thru his insurance and all that. Ended up getting totaled by the insurance and I bought it back and fixed it myself. But the bike still has a clean title. So I'm trying to get a guesstimate on what it's worth.
The bikes an 04 wide glide
18k miles
6 in rise internally wired drag bars
V&H big radius exhaust(not pictured)
performace machine intake
Dynojet power commander V
LA choppers 1.5in rear lowering kit
Little chrome BS here and there
Powercoated black rims with chrome spokes
HD badlander seat

Looking at bikes for sale locally on Craigslist, it looks like most of em are listed around 6k, some are as high as 8k and that's bikes from 02-06 with around 14-22k miles on em. I wouldn't mention the incident cause that would make me not want to buy it (no offense) but you could still get a decent amount for if.

Just be careful - even though the title is clear the insurance payout and total will show on a carfax (bikefax?)

Zero; 'Another drunk guy'; all I need to know about the treatment, care, and condition of your ride.

Too many well cared for Wide Glides out there to screw around with a bike ridden by 'drunks'. But, if the HD logo is on the tank you're sure to find someone who's thinking with the wrong head...

I dunno if it will or not but depending on what it shows, you might be able to say it was cosmetic or something. I dunno how many people out there will actually pull a carfax on an older bike

Yea I hear ya on not wanting to buy a bike that was totaled. And I was under the impression it would have a salvage title until I got my plate renewals in the mail and IL sent me my plates no questions asked. So I carfaxed it and title is clear. But it does say total loss on the carfax.

Woah there tincup. I was not drunk the night that it happened. So you can stop assuming things. It turns out I was at work until midnight that night and when I left work I rode up to the bar to see some buddies. It's not my fault 20 min after I got there a drunk guy tried to get on his bike and dropped his bike into mine before he could even start his bike.

That would be a deal breaker for me. A lot of people are skiddish on salvage titles too. I'm one of em. But I fix cars, so I see just how bad some of the jobs are. However I'm sure there are some vehicles with rebuilt titles that are good runners

yeah I get where your coming from nickd. The damage was all cosmetic and was all easy fixes. pipes, grips, chrome parts, ect. I rode the bike home that night and rode to Harley for the estimate but still has being totaled branded to the bike. Im just trying to figure how much value is lost with that being branded to the bike for the rest of its life

I would guess about half of the blue book value. KBB lists a 2004 FXDWG at 7125 for suggested retail so if someone does their homework and sees it had been totaled out I would guess 3,000-3,500 if they really have to have it or an enthusiast that doesn't care. You might be better off just keeping it since you rebuilt it. It looks good from the picture.
