Default Rear Brake Squeal on new Fat Bob?

My Fat Bob's rear brake started squealing when I pull up to stop signs/lights. It's not a high pitched squeal (kinda dull in sound). I called the dealer's service dept, and they advised me that it may just be some brake dust...or of course I could bring it to have it looked at.

The bike has less than 300 miles on it...is this considered normal?

Thanks

Default RE: Rear Brake Squeal on new Fat Bob?

Harley stock brakes are junk. mine started squeaking front and rear with less then 500 miles on bike. the dealer told me that they wont cover it under warranty. so i called HD customer service and after lots of arguing ( they tried to say it was due to rider error until i told them i had been riding for over 30 years) they finally agreed to replace pads and rotors with stock. 300 miles later they both started squeaking again. lots more arguing and got them to cover labor if i paid for Kevlar pads. now if they start to squeak i just clean the rotors with break cleaner and it stops.
