For those of you who have installed the stage 1 download, slipons and ac,did you gain an increase in HP in the upper rpm range?I know the redline is 6250 after the download so is your bike faster in passing situations now?Since the dyna's are the lightest of the big twins I figure a modest power increase would be more apparent.

I didn't even get the download, just added a fuelpak and it was definitely noticeable from bottom to top. I have no idea how much because it's never been on a dyno. Don't really care. I can feel it and that's all that matters.

You will probably notice the slightly flatter torque curve and you might feel the slightly better throttle response.

It'll only give you a couple of extra HP at the wheel so I don't think you'll find much difference. The Dyna is not exactly a powerful machine in any case.

I disagree - you WILL notice enough difference to put a grin on your face. As far as Harley's go, it certainly is a powerful machine. No, you aren't going to run down a 'Busa with it but that's not why most of us buy them.

Can't speak for a TC96, but I'd guess that a stock FI TC88 dyna does about 65HP? HD does not publish this spec - and for good reason.
An air filter + pipe + fuel management mod (call this stage1 if you like) put my peak HP at 74. That's over 13% increase and is certainly quite noticeable (lower gas mileage is quite noticeable as well).

I just put the se ac on my Fat Bob which already had the se slipons. Doing rollong tests the rpms climb about 8% faster.

Dont waste your money or time, go for stage II 103 kit directly or stay stock.

A bit more than a "slight difference" in throttle response and winds more between gears on my 88.

My butt dyno says a Stage 1 provides a VERY noticeable increase in pull from the mid to upper RPM range. I lost a little bit of that awesome low end torque ... but my scoot pulls forever in each gear and I can hit triple digits easily now, whereas it used to scream to 90 then sort of bog down. Also I can cruise all day at 85 - 95 mph on a road trip. He just purrs smoothly in that range while eating up the miles.

Do it. You'll like it. You'll next be thinking of cams and port/polish.
