Default Electrical Diagnostic Manual

I bought the service manual for my 06 Super Glide and it was well worth the money. I saw an electrical diagnostic manual for my bike on ebay. It's $60 from Harley Davidson. My question is, has that manual ever come in handy for any of you? Is it a manual I should get?

Hawk, here's my take on it......

I have the Service Manual and the Parts Manual.
(and they both serve me well).

When I want to look in the Elec Diagnostics Manual
I go to my favorite HD Dealer Service Dept,
they bring it out, I look for what I want,
and then they photoCopy the pages I ask for.........

Butt,

even though I do a fair bit of electrical,
the Diagnostics Book has not been of that much assistance to me.

Reason being, the book seems to rely heavily on the HD Diagnostic EQUIPMENT.

Which I do not have.

So that's my experience......
If the eBAy book was cheap enough, I would get it.

Mud, the one I found on ebay I ended up getting for $29 plus shipping. I decided to go ahead and get it. If I ever need it at least I'll have it I guess. I wasn't aware that it relied heavily of the HD diagnostic equipment though so it may not do me much good. I don't have the parts manual though and I guess that's one I should go ahead and get. My nearest dealer is over an hour away so I do most of my own maintenance unless I feel it's something that's out of my league.

I'm sure you will get your moneys worth Hawk.
Hopefully you won't need it at all.

You're right about the Parts Manual.
Mine gets a lot of use.
Real good investment.
