Allright gear heads, what would be the best repair manual for a novice to buy. Manufacturer's or after market?

HD service manual and HD parts manual as it has blow up pics of every item plus part numbers. You would need pn#99483-06 for the service manual, $60 and99456-06A for the parts manual, $48. I take it you're from Bow, NH?

I definitely agree with dawg, get the HD manuals. Also, it wouldn't hurt to pick up the DVD http://www.fixmyhog.com/.

Another vote here for the Factory Service Manual. As said, also not a bad idea to get the Parts Manual as well (I will be along with the Fix-My-Hog DVD).

As stated above go with the HD service & parts manual. It should cover anything you need to do to the scoot and also provide needed part #'s for replacement parts. Good luck.

It doesn't say in your member profile what your ride is or yearbut if it's an 08 plan on waiting. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago. Parts guy said some shops don't have them yet.
Factory service manual is the way to go.

dont plan on doing any major work myself but got all 3 HD manuels. sm,parts, and elect. just cause.
