Default Questions about internal wiring

Ape hangers going on this winter, thinking about 16 inch Wild 1's, anyway's, I,ve seen photo's of bike's that have internal wiring.......Are those steal braided cables in there? Should you go steel braided internal wiring?
Can you, I mean, is there space in there for all that wiring? I would like to retain my heated grip's also, so that's even more stuff in those 1.25 inch thick bar's.
Does it cost more to go internal cables?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

Are you talking about cables or wiring? Steel braided cables still need lubing but why on earth would you lube electrical wires?
Do you lube the electrical wires in conduit pipes in buildings? All you are doing is instead of routing the wiring on the outside of the bars, you are just routing them into and out of the bars to clean up the look.
There is plenty of room in the bars like 07 Dyna man said and yes it will cost more if you pay someone to do it because they are doing more work.

Pig...maybe the OP is confused by what is meant by internal wiring.

Only the electrical wiring is housed inside the bars. The Cables (clutch, throttle, brake) are still external unless you want to drop some serious coin on running internal cables as well.

By "serious coin" I'm talking well in excess of $1000.

Ok, why does it cost so much to run internal wires and cables in your bars? All there doing is bunching up all those cables and wires and running it through the bars.

Because it's time-consuming to do. When you have work done at a dealer....you're paying by the hour. They may jack the price up because they don't want to do it.

I don't think you want to internally wire the clutch, throttle, and idle cables..... if they break it would be a bitch to fix wouldn't it?

Just wrap all the wiring in some sort of sheathing that covers all the wiring before you pull the wires through the bars. Do it yourself and save a boatload of cash. As stated above, it is time consuming to put on the wiring extension and pull all that stuff through the bars.
