what bars will fit a 2003 lowrider with stock cables?

hiya matem, i realise this is an old question but just wanted to say, ive just changed my bars on my 03 lowrider from the stock t-bars upto the 16" santee apes with a 1" riser. i did change the brake line out, but the throlle cable fit at a stretch and so did the clutch at a stretch and totally rerouted. so i should think 12" apes would fit comfortably with stock cables. the stock t-bars are 10" anyway so what another poster said is probably right, you can afford a 2" rise.

I converted the headlight from the 'brow' to the lower triple tree ... got a 5-1/4" bates type headlight and just (removed the front tire and) drilled a hole in the lower triple tree ... drilled the hole going from bottom to top ... bolt the mounting block to the lower triple tree and wire the new headlight ....
[Of course I've changed the whole bike around since then ...]

I did the headlight relocation on a Super Glide ... this is the only photo in my album that shows the original front end with the Bates headlight ... I had not relocated the turn signals at that time ...
You'll have to zoom in to see the headlight ... also, since the Super Glide idiot lights are on the tank console, relocation was not required for me ...
I've seen a few guys who did a relocation by just drilling a few holes on the dash and inserting the LEDs ... a search of the subject should yield some examples for you ...
... when you remove the brow it leaves the gap on the upper tree ....
I never did address that, however, it later occurred to me that there is a chrome cover on the Sportster 1200 Custom that could be used to 'clean up' the upper triple tree ...
