Default Diff question about Monkey Bars.

I have an 07 road glide and i have been reading all the threads about the PYO Monkey Bars and for the most part everyone has been able to use the stock cables for the Monkey Bars up to 12 inches. So i ordered a set of 12 inch Monkey Bars. They came in and i tore into my bike to put them on......... there is no freaking way my stock cables would fit these bars i could not figure it out....so i measured my bars from the middle of the bottom bend to the middle of the top bend just like it shows on the bagger nation web site and mine measure 13.5 inches......so i called and talked to some lady forgot her name but she said that is normal for custom made bars to be not exact..... holy cow is this correct is it normal for them to be and inch and a half off?

i dont see how in the helll you could use stock cables for 12" bars. I used +6" cables for my 13"s and they are none too long. i shake my head when i read about people re-routing and shat to try and save a few bucks.

Mine are 13.5 also and there is no way I could have used the stock cable and wire lengths... Nor would I even try to cheap out and use the Acme Cable and Wire Strecher.

I don't have the bars but it seems that custom made would be right on the money. I would speak with Paul and get him to correct this unless they feel good to you.

13.5 or 12in. either one, your not going to use stock cables. I have 13" Cyclesmith on my 05 and used +6 on all cables. I did not have to get the wires extended or stretch them. I just routed them under the radio, they are not at any bind at all. Someone is blowing smoke up your a$$ if they said you can use stock cables. Or they've never done it.

I have 8 inch monkey bars on my 09 RG. I was told by the guys at bagger nation that up to 10 inch could use stock cables. 12 or higher required new cables. So if you like theee ones you have there is no need to send them back as you will still need longer cables IMHO.
