Default 09 Street Bob - air cleaner cover options

I've got the stock cover on the air cleaner, it doesn't match the look of my bike. What are my options to replace it without having to do a major expensive stage 1 or 2 upgrade? Can I but a Big Sucker stage 1 without doing the remapping?

I like the 'classic' look - so I put a whole assembly from a CrossBones on my bike. I like it - and it wasn't too pricey. They show up on here, or eBay every so often.

I did the S&S teardrop a/c on my '07. Just liked the style.

From what I've read, you are safe doing an after market air cleaner without needing to reflash, the ECU should be able to learn and compensate.

Do a search on air cleaner covers and you will come up with a ton of threads and ideas. Anything from 'home made' to 'more than you want to spend.'

SE air cleaner and went the X-bones cover route as well. Added my own touch to it though...Sprayed it with Plasti-dip to give it a matte finish to match the rest of the wrinkle black on my bike. If I ever decide to go back to the gloss black finish that came on it, I just peel off the plasti-dip.
