Default Horn issues

I replaced my horn after the oem quit. Now it sounds terrible. When I remove it from the mount it works fine. Acts like it grounding out when the bolt is tight. Any ideas?

Don't mount it so tight. Are you missing some hardware such as a spacer, rubber grommet or something like that?

Exactly, bolt is too tight. When I relocated mine it did the same thing. Backed off the mounting bolt and bingo. That was of course before I removed it all together.

Is this a black aftermarket snail type horn like a friamm?
Look at the screw on the back with the glue on it.
That screw has soft glue/sealant on it because they do not want you to touch it.
That screw alters the vibration or tone when turned

Horn has to be able to vibrate. Needs to be rubber mounted or loose
