Default 107 dyna vs vrod

Hey guys not really into drag racing just trying to get an idea of what my bike is going to run like.I'm doing the Fuel Moto 107 with ported heads should be 110-115hp and 120ish tq. According to Harleys' website in running order my '12 super is only 7lbs. heavier than a vrod muscle. So my bike should be as fast as it, right? I also put on the 30t pulley, what do you guys think? Thanks

I don't think you'll have any trouble pulling away from a stock v-rod

Are you doing the upgrade? I'm looking into this as well, for around 2G this looks like a lot of bang for the buck. Please post your results

Ditro. Are you doing it yourself or are you taking it to fm? I'm sure there are more productive ways to spend my tax rerurn but this is too tempting especially since I have the bike stripped down already anyway

The 107 Dyna is a fast bike, lots of useable power and torque- very pleasant ride. But being the owner of 3 from the fxd family, 107" (2011),114" (2001) and 131"(1995) and riding customers V-rods for after service test drives , I have to admit its a pretty quick bike ... even in its stock form.
Just my experience.

You'll take the VR off the line, but once you shift to 2nd it's all over (for you).

How do You figure?
If you can ride its a wrap for the vrod. A 1250 with a good stage one and tune will make about 110 hp. Assuming your 107 makes similar hp, it will make 30-40 ft lbs more than the vrod, and the weight is similar. Rider is always most important though.

Yes I am doing everything myself,if I ever get the parts back I will post my results.Like I said I'm not looking for a race just an idea of what it's going to feel like,so if it runs close to a vrod I should be plenty happy with it.I also live in PA so it will be a bit before I get a test ride.I ordered a LSR 2-1 pipe ,but am questioning whether to cancel the order and either just get a Fatcat or Bassani road rage and save a few hundred dollars.

I think the newer Vrods with tune and some upgrades are making like 125 to 130hp! Also with the rod being liquid cooled i would think its engine would stay cooler longer which is better for racing. Also the 240 rear is going to grip better on launch along with the shocks and brakes and stuff already geared for racing from the factory i would think a newer Vrod would still have the edge! But a 107 dyna would still be awsome and Fast tho for sure! Heck id like to do the 107 to my FatBoy Lo!....
