Default Need a measurement from the FLD footboard kit

Hey guys, I was wondering if any FLD owners or Dyna owners that have bought the HD FLD footboard kit #50500247 can give me measurements on the exhaust side rear mounting bracket. For clarity, it's #7 on the attached image, part number: 54165-12

I'm looking for its overall length, and also the distance it sticks out from the frame at the hole where the footboard mounts to it.

Basically, I'm trying to figure out if I can use this kit with my V&H BR 2-1 exhaust. Even if I have to make a slight mod to the heat shield, it'll be worth it for the added comfort. If I can't make it work, I'm going to go with the reduced reach forward controls kit. I'm only about 5'10" with a 30 inch inseam so my legs get tired of the stretch on long rides. I have mid pegs mounted too, but I'm sick of smacking my shins on them, or having them grab my pant leg when I move to the forwards from a standing stop. Thanks for the help and sorry about the long read.

The reduced reach are BADASS. I wish I could help you with the measurements...I would like floorboards too but need the same info...

I can measure mine tomorrow but from the looks of it I doubt it will work with the exhaust you have pictured. The bracket attaches on the frame mounting tab and goes down below the factory exhaust.

Yeah that's what I've been thinking, but I want to be sure. I want to get a measurement so I can see how far ill be off. If a little custom modding needs to be done, I can probably handle it.

Having just installed a set recentely, i can tell righ away that your pipes sit too low and the footboards will not work.

Yes but I might be able to mod it enough to make them work. I've looked at a lot of pictures from various angles, and I think there is hope. I just need those measurements so I can figure that out. All you have to do is look around this forum and you can see the ingenuity pouring out of people's bikes when they think there is something that can't be done. As far as custom mods go, I think this one would be fairly easy.

I am pretty sure you would have to make another rear footboard support. to get past that bend in your front head pipe.
