Default Exhaust Question

i have a 2008 fxd. It has stage one AC, vance and hines 2into1 and has been tuned through the dealership. All this was done by the previous owner. I like the look of dual exhaust better( it think), and can get a set of vance and hines for a really good price. Im not sure if switching to the duals would be the best idea and would any retuning be involved? Opinions please.

assuming the dealership did the stage 1 download, no other tuning would be necessary. and if your unsure if you like the dual look better, keep in mind that the pro-pipe you have on there now is a great performing pipe.

In terms of looks ...that's personal preference. I can go either way. Staggered duals and even other duals just seem very traditional in terms of styling to me. If you like the way the old school bikes looked with the duals then ok. It's really about what you think looks best and suits the look your going for. Personally my bike performs very very well with the 2-1 ...far better than any set of stag yards ever have and if tuned right the set you have should be offering you almost optimal exhaust performance.

Bar none the pro pipe is one of the best. I think it looks great on your ride. But it's not about us. It's about you. If you want to go back you should be fine with no additional tune needed if the dealership did the stage work right the first time when the pro pipe went on as the previous poster indicated.

What do you want to do? That's the question. And the answer.
