Smile valves slamming a high regimes, besion advice

Hi all,
I'm sorry, but I do not speak English, my text was translated by Google, thank you for your understanding.
Let ask you a question.

Valves slamming my street bob at high speeds, because I just changed my fuel injection with a carburetor.

The kit includes:
- A complete carburetor mikuni hsr 42
- An ignition box altmann ampp3
- An intake pipe joints and adapters with mikuni
- A big sucker stage 1 kit by Arlen Ness - Pingel tap
- Nut convertion Pingel injection / carburetor
- An air filter custom
-
In fact, the bike is working very well, but at high speeds slamming my valves.
Do you have a solution for this problem.
Street bob 2009, 34000 km (21126 miles).
Revision of the machine regularly.
No other problems.
From what I understand by many people around me, my rockers are not adapted to a diet too high.
The carburetor is properly adjusted.
Do you have any solutions for this?
Thanking you in advance for your answers.
Very cordially.
Thierry.

Could be just running lean and that is causing knocking/pinging.

HSR42s are easy to work with but there is a wider range of adjustments compared to the CV carbs fitted as stock to older bikes. I really recommend having the carb set up on a dyno to get the AFRs accurate.

thank you very much for the answer, one must therefore seeks a carburologue (carburetor specialist in France) in my area
it did not relate to the rockers?

Unlikely that your valves are hitting the rockers now if they weren't doing so before.

Assuming you didn't put in new cams with this conversion? If you didn't go into the valve train, all should be fine, probably just need to have the carb properly jetted as mentioned.

I/d say lean or timing issue...if all you did was change the to a carb.,that wont make the valves hit anything

Probably not valve noise you are hearing, most likely detonation from running too lean or low octane gas.

Hello everyone,

I may have found the solution to my problem.
In fact, I forgot to tell you that I filed a warrant in my engine oil.
My "gray" (without the HD HD concession license) told me that he did not put faillait Warrant, as oil becomes too thin and there was not enough oil to the rockers.
He advised me to make an engine oil, see two garbage to rid this Warrant.
I'll do it soon, I would to you if the test is successful.
Thank you again for your collective responses.
A soon.
Thierry.

Bonjour a tous,

A bientôt.
Thierry.
