Stock shocks on a 2013 Dyna.
Well unless I chicken out I will be getting a new 2013 Dyna Super Glide for $12,500 out the door tomorrow. I'm new to Harleys and new to riding. Matter of fact my MSF class is next week. So I will not be even be able to ride it till June most likely.
My question is about the stock shocks. I'm 5' 9" 320lbs. I will not be riding 2 up anytime soon. Will the stock shocks be ok or do you think I'm going to need to upgrade shortly?

When you pick up the bike have the service dept set the shocks on the #5 setting. (watch them so you know how, very simple) and you will be fine.
Most of us eventually change out the stock shocks...but they will work with your weight as long as they are on the 5 setting.
After your class, as long as you pass, you can go to DPS and take a written exam (very easy but pick up the free booklet on motorcycles the next time you are near dps) and your certificate with proof of insurance and they will issue you a motorcycle endorsement on the spot...You will be riding in May... Don't get a permit because they charge you twice
