Default right and left turn signals different...?

Hey everyone,

Noticed something at a red light today while stopped behind a minivan:

I noticed from the reflection from the van that my left turn signal is dim (like alot... might not be very visible during the day = safety issue).

The right turn signal is a LOT brighter (im assuming this is the normal brightness) but blinks slower.

What could possibly be the issue...? And how does one remedy this??

Any and all tips/experiences/suggestions would be awesome.

Thanks!

I'm guessing you looked at them again straight on, not relying on the reflection alone...
I had a similar problem on mine, turned out my bulb just wasn't seated properly, that'd be the first place to check.

Find somewhere you can drive up to a large plate glass window and recheck your blinkers. It sounds like the left side of your battery has issues with dying cells. Any attempt to repair any electrical issues outside of a genuine HD repair facility will void your warranty.

Oop's, don't forget to wave

Naw. The right side works the left blinker.

Swap your bulbs before making a Left turn.

OK, really, swap your bulbs, does the problem follow? Next if you have a VOM meter check the voltage at the turn signals, should be the same.

Get off the bike, walk around to the front and look at the signals. Could be as simple as them not being aligned.

just turn your signals on and walk back and see. They work without the engine running or need a reflection. If you have run/turn then you may have a loose wire or bad ground on that signal.I would check it first then clean the bulb and socket. If it is still dim clean the connection to that signal-not at the back but where it plugs in the wiring harness.
I suggest using dielectric grease on the bulbs to keep rust down and aid in the connection.
