Default Tank rattle

Just wondering ...I have a tank rattle when I brake, gets pretty loud when the front brake is applied ... Is this a common problem? Is there a work around? ...I have tightened the front and rear bolts on thetank as much as the can go ...Surely the tank is not rattling on the backbone....just wondering if anyone else is facing this problem or if anyone has dealt with it .....

I'd take a torque wrench to it. 18 ft. lbs. front and rear for my '07.

Try pushing down on your gas cap and see if that stops the rattle.

That was the issue on mine, was told to put one of those elastic pony tail bands around the inside perimeter - no rattles since.
