Default bolt size

anyone know the correct bolt size for attaching the rear peg mounts to the frame.. my bike was set up for solo when i bought it, rear mounts were not on the bike.

The oem for 06 and up is a button head self-tapping 3/8-16 x 1 in. screw

do i really have to loosen the belt and move the tire forward just to install the bracket?. seems like a lot to put that on..does'nt just bolt on?

Its a tight area but you don't have to loosen the belt if you have the right tools. I busted it (belt guard mounting bracket) loose with a 90 deg torx then used the short bit below.

Hi,

When i removed mine from wide glide the left side was easy but the right side you need small torx bit like ynots posted with wrench on it,

Drop the back wheel down if you have a lift too
