Default It happened again! Stator

Took bike out first time of the year. I'm 95% sure its the stator again. Same noise I heard last year, check engine light, battery light, then battery goes dead.
Need some opinions... take it back to local indy that fixed it last year, hopefully get a deal since it happened 1 yr later. He also fixed it by doing the screws and loctite. I didn't agree with that.
Or , take it to a recommended HD dealer which a lot of my friends endorse. I know it will be more but I think they fix it with welded piece instead of screws... 2006 Wide Glide by the way (home of the stator).
Appreciate any input..

What was actually replaced when you had it fixed?

I replaced my 2006 with 2007 rotor and stator about 2 years ago. Mine was not bad just was updating.

I suggest when you change your Rotor and Stator, you also change your Regulator, ot at least have it checked to make sure it's not the reason you're having those problems.

Whole stator replaced. Indy thought it could be regulator cause of the charge it was giving. I did here the churning noise. Never forget that sound. That's why I believe it's the same problem. I would rather it be a reg.
