Default Quick Disconnect Fuel Crossover Line

Just wondering what you guys using QD crossover lines recommend. I found a chrome and braided ss one for $100. But with everything on my bike being black, that's not really gonna work for me. eBay has a black plastic one for $14 but how good are they? Let me know your thoughts and experiences...

I had looked at the Goodridge braided QD line, but it is really long and I thought it would look funny. So, I bought one of these:

I installed it in the new crossover line that DK Customs included with their fuel tank lift kit. I will put it on the bike this summer when I pull the fuel tank off to do my cam install.

I'm curious- what would be a typical reason for a regular joe to take off the tank so often that he would want to get one of these?

Let me tell you why, the quick connect is a way to prevent gas from spilling when you pull the tank. Otherwise you will have to either drain the fuel or use another hose, clamp it and plug both ends. What a mess! For $14 even once a year tank removal is worth it. Try it to believe it. I had enough lol

Yeah, I think this should have been one of those items that are installed at the factory.

Would you post some pics of your setup? I always wondered if I get one of these if I would have to run a much longer crossover hose to ease connecting/disconnecting the coupler.
