Default Exhaust Gaskets

Gonna install some Vance & Hines Short Shots on my friends 2012 Wide Glide. Is it recommended to use SE Gaskets or will the gaskets work that came with the new Vance & Hines pipes?

If it came with them I would use them.

I like the flat style, not the tapered ones.

I used the the ones that came with the pipes when I installed my shortshots a couple of years ago... No issues.

I just did some work on my pipes and had to put in new gaskets, dealer recommended the SE gaskets so I tried them. They never sealed and leaked went back to the stock gaskets all good. If the pipes came with gaskets I would run those.

if the flanges are tapered use the tapered (oem) ones, if they are square use the SE gaskets. Ive reused the SE gaskets on my Bub7 without any problem

when in doubt, go get the OEM gaskets for your make and model...

do it once, do it right.

Default Use the SE gaskets supplied

I just installed V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 on my WG this winter and I used the SE gaskets supplied. No leaks, no problems. Talked to the dealer about it when I was in picking up parts, He said the OEM ones are designed for the stock exhaust which is curved. V&H are flat.
