Looking at a Ultima King 18x5.5 rear wheel to fit on my 97. I see lots of guys running these on later year bikes. Do I have the room to fit this with a 180 tire? The signals are gone, I will be running Burly slammers. Will the belt need to be swapped for a narrower one? Just looking for some info before dropping the $$ on parts. Any help is GREATLY appreciated

 

I have been researching kits to do the change for 180/200 series wheels/tires.

What I have run across is kits for the change. A lot is involved in this change.
New, wider swing arm, clutch/compensator adapter so the belt will line up with the new wider swing arm. Most kits comes with 5.5 inch spoke wheels.
Around $2,000

This is what I have found. There may be lower cost options that I did not do search on.

I dont HAVE to have a 5.5 wide rim. Would I save myself grief by running a 18x3.5? Looking to increase rim diameter, dont really care about width as much.
