Suspension Upgrade for my 2012 Street Bob
A buddy and I installed Ricor Intimiators and Progressive 412's this morning.
Its raining off and on here today so I haven't been able to ride much, but first impression is a big WOW . . . I think my first comment was, "Why'd I wait so long!?"
Install was pretty easy too thanks to many threads and tips from various forum members. Thanks to all!

I didn't cut down the spacers and I measured the oil level prior to draining it, then added the new back to that level. The amount was right on par with the service manual so I figured that was good to go. Since you already have the oil in, you may have to remove some (i.e. the amount of volume of the intiminators, which isn't much).

If your sag is good before installation, then you should cut your spacers down the length that the intiminators take up - IIRC, about 5/8" to 3/4". The small difference in oil is not as important as making sure you put equal amounts in each side.

I can't remember if I talked much about it in my thread, but I bought a metal cutting blade for my miter saw to cut the spacers. Then I used a metal file to smooth them out - be sure to clean up well afterwards, inside and out, you don't want all those metal fillings to get into your forks.
