Default Hard Bags on Dyna - Will this work good?

Hello,

Looking to get a Affordable set of hardbags on my dyna.

will this work?
* Harley Touring ABS Hard bags (clones) from ebay
like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hard-Saddleb...3f0640&vxp=mtr

* Latches/locks for bags
like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ABS-Hard-Sad...07d9f4&vxp=mtr

* Easy Brackets
like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/EASY-BRACKET...f932f2&vxp=mtr

Or is there issues with this setup?
Or would I have to get the cycle vision bag support bars?

Thinking I would use plasti dip to finish the bags:
Amazon Amazon

Thanks. - Tony

I have FLH bags that I modified to use the Switchback mounting system. Got the mounts off eBay for $160 and hardware from harley for $150. Already had the bags laying around

Yea those bags and latches will work, but the brackets will also need something to hold the bottom of the bags in place. The bags will stick out past the fender unless you modify them to fit around the shocks. If you are handy with a welder you can make your own brackets easy enough, or go with a set of Cyclevisions brackets(kinda pricey)

So if i go with cycle vision brackets, those are Just to hold the bottom right?
so I still need brackets to bolt them to the side.

IMO, those boxy square bags do not look good on a dyna at all, unless you are running a fat bob with dove tail or swap to a full stretch fender... look into some FLH bags (shovelhead) smaller and have better flow. Plasti dip is for 16 year old kids civic wheels not harley parts

The Cyclevisions brackets will hold the top and bottom, but they seem to stick out a it further from the bike and the bottom 'arm' sticks out the front, turns up and bolts to a bracket that installs under the seat. It is just more noticeable than I prefer, but several people run 'em.

I think both DynaBagger's and JRK5892's bracket designs are pretty sweet and someone should sell bags with those brackets.

here is how i did mine
basicly i wanted them tight to the bike and still allow for the use of the QR sissy bar, so i took an edge bracket, cut it all up and welded it back up so that it could go on the inside of the bag vs being mounted to the outside, this brought the bags in about 2"
I still wanted to be able to lock them to the bike, as my new bag system is not going to have a lock on the bag itself, so i left the ability to use the tumbler lock inside the bag after they are mounted, this way they do not grow legs and walk off one time when i park the bike... bags are with Dave at Davo Customs (forum member) getting paint right now

i wanted them to open police style so that my wife could get in the bag while we where riding if she needed anyting so i made them hinge open

So I'm putting a full Fairing on the front too.... so would look decent.
since it's gonna be a while before I buy another bike, may as well make this one trip worthy.
