Default Oil Cooler Recommendation
Wanting advice for a new oil cooler set-up for a 2007 FLHX. Headed to 103 engine set-up.

Jagg oil coolers...they have different set-ups you can choose.

Wards FCS and then you don't need one. Cool the source not the symptom. Also, I've never heard of a Wards fan leaking

I'm using the HD oil cooler on my ride now with Wards Parts Werks low temp thermostat. Good setup and no problems.

I live in a pretty hot area and do double duty. Jagg fan assisted oils cooler (you can get non fan assisted as well), good pricing available with searching. I also run the Wards fans. I'd say the fans make for a more noticeable difference, but I do like having the oil go through more cooling area as well.

Not over 170F??? That's hard to believe, and if it's true you aren't getting it hot enough to cook off the moisture.

Back when we were running dirt modifides and pro stocks we kept our sump oil temp at 165*.
