Default Suggestions with 88-95 big bore on 02 v-twin

Im green to gears and such. My rig is a 02 HD Softail Standard, 88ci, carborated. Everything is stock except for exhaust....2" circ drag pipes no baffels. Ive been looking at an S&S 88-95 big bore kit and an Ultima 3" open primary..... Can you big bore upgrade a non EFI motor? Would I need to upgrade carbs as well? Would the primary replacement effect the big bore in any way? ......suggestions / support / guidance on the matter at hand?

2" drag pipes and no baffles? Shitcan those for a real exhaust and a better A cleaner setup and you'll feel like you swapped in a 95 kit. A 95 kit or bore and new P&R's is a easy upgrade on a TC 88. No nada as far as jetting, carbs etc will be necessary really. I will say better cams will do a lot more for you than a 95 kit.

Send a PM to Scott at Hillside and ask about his 98" kit. He will guide you in the right direction. He's a sponsor on here.
