Trying to get some info on subject matter.

I bought the spark plug wires b/c I wanted to add some color to my bike. I had them on my Fatboy and it was a very easy install.

I looked at my '13 FLHTC and it doesn't look like it will be an easy fit. Boy is it tight in the engine bay/gas tank & frame area, unlike my old Fatboy! Has anyone installed them on their FLHTC bagger?

1. Can I install the spark plug wires w/out removing the gas tank?
2. Do they provide some performance gain? Bike is stock w/the exception of Supertrapp slip-ons and a stage one tune.

1. No, lift the tank up and put a block of wood under it to hold it up.

2. No performance gain in plug wires unless your stock wires are in bad shape.

 

20 extra HP with those leads!

 

Absolutely no performance gain to be had with 10mm plug wires on a harley. But if ya like the look, go for it.
