didn't know you could do that, I thought an 88 had to be stroked to go to 107/106.
any details?

Must've built 2-3 dozen 4" stroke X 4 1/8" bore engines.
From bagger configurations to blvd. blasters.
Good headwork is key to exposing the power on those.
Didn't know is you knew that you can go to 98" w/o spittling the cases on that bike?
Set up correctly, they are no slouch.
BTW, we are shipping a 124" to Calgary next week, same client has a 145" we built/modified for his Dyna.

Its more cost effective to put a 4 3/8" crank in to reach 107. At that point you could do the 4.125" big bore kit and end up at 117. If you have to split the cases i would either put in a stroker crank or at minimum have you crank trued and welded.

But i do hear all bore 107s (4.124"x4") are great motors and make real good power. I had looked into one but my crank had .013 runout. Seeing as i wanted to go gear drive and be able to beeat the snot out of it, that didnt fly and i ended up at 117.

a good reason we don't do a lot of the all bore 107`s anymore, just makes more sence to go bigger

............and the 4 3/8" arm is a great way also combined with a 3.937" bored OE cylinder.
We've been doing that a lot as of late, in the advent of the OE 4" crank being buggered.
117" is a simple as a case bore, and a set of 4 1/8" cyls.
125-130 hp, and 135-140 ft/lbs.

I currently run an all bore 107" in my '02 FLHT; runs great and wouldn't trade the bike for a new one. However, I regret not goint to 117"; lower unit is out, work is done and the cost to go to 117" is marginal. It's a no brainer.
