Default Need help to check fitment

I need the measurement of center to center of the mounting points for the passing light bar where it mounts to either side of the batwing fairing on any '96 or later EG.

Thanks

Schex, your light bar is the same as mine, #68684-86. Mine is off the bike at present, so wojawannanow exactly?! I can measure inside to inside on the uprights? Let me know.

if you can measure and post that, I'll be happy to divide that number by 2 and post that #. (I've got 3 litebars on a shelf bought at various swapmeets when trying to find one for my shovelhead; all are different inside dimensions, so they'll be of no help.)

It measures 14.5". As I recall it springs quite a bit when being installed and the screws are tightened, so the fitted width could well be say 1/8" less than that.

I want to know if the spacing between the bolts pictured below are the same for a '96+ as my '90 EG. Mine is approx 6 5/8".

That would tell me if a bracket like the one below could possibly mount up. Looking on Ronnies, part number changed for the light bar in '96, fittment for the custom light brackets says '97 & up.

Oh, those! The centre to centre distance is 6 5/8".

The reason for the custom brackets saying '97 up could be as simple as the electrical connectors are a later spec. I currently have the crashbar oval fog lights on my bike and had the original factory HID headlight for a while. They both fit mechanically, I simply had to adapt the wiring. The trees on the Touring range didn't change until 2014 AFAIK, so the distance between those screws is probably fine.

That's why I'm asking about '96 and up spacing, as long as they mount up, the rest is no problem, just thought someone with a '96+ could throw a tape measure on theirs right quick, I just don't have any bikes around at the momment to confirm spacing.

my 1980 and 2006 both measure that also; so I think we've discovered a standard

I suspect all bikes with Hydraglide forks, right up to 2013, were the same!
