Exclamation EVO engine shops??? MASSACHUSETTS

Does anyone know of a trustworthy, dependable engine shop in the Massachusetts area?
Looking to hop up my evo a bit but want to make sure I pick the right shop.
Any input is appreciated, thx.

Good question. I've only heard of two one being Sibley's in Palmer and the other being more popular Roland's Motor Works in Northampton. Personally I haven't dealt with either but these are the only two I've heard of being worthwhile. I tried to do business with two others and one refused to help and the other overcharged me so I've since decided to do my own work. Good luck.

Put an EV-27 cam in it and forget the rest.
Unless you are a horsepower/torque nut there is no real need to do major engine mods to get it to run better.
I was amazed what a simple cam swap did for mine.

Depends where you are. Beanz Big Boyz in Maine may be worth your trip. Do you own a fsm? If you're proficient with wrenches you can do as Tex said. It ain't hard and there are plenty off people here to guide you through. I'm in Essex county and know of a good shop but it's close to me so geography maybe an issue...
Welcome,
Tom

We are between Syracuse and Utica, Exit 33 off the NYS Thruway, and about 10 miles north of Hamilton, where Colgate University is located.
We've built a couple Evo's before..........one 108"er that ran 8.88 et/148 mph.....18 years ago.
Happy to help.
Scott

Hillside is the place to go if you want it done right. They are worth the few hour ride. They did work on a 94 special I had and recently a 74 shovel. The shovel was just a 2000i ing and dyno tune. But it ran pretty darn good when i got it back
