If and when my TC88 eats the crankshaft it will get rebuilt as a 106 Stroker....I may be rather old when that happens but it will.

Do it, you're going to love it.

Look at my signature pic...it's a '93 FXR with a S&S 89" stroker kit, with 10:1 pistons, and the S&S Super Stock heads were ported by Hillside also. I took Hillside's advice and went with a S&S 561 cam, and thunderjetted S&S Super E carb. I had it on the dyno right after the rebuild to break it in, and it put out 96hp and 102 torque. After I put on another 500 miles or so, we'll put it on the dyno again and fine tune it. I expect that it will break the 100HP mark.

This bike is extremely "streetable" and friendly to ride on the street, along with being super quick. My 2010 Street Glide with over 100/100 HP/torque, would get left in the dust by this FXR.

Another plus with this build is not having to bore your cases. The bore is exactly the same as a stock Evo, the stroke is only slightly longer. With the brand new set of Harley Evo cases that I bought, I kept my original engine number, and didn't have to deal with any DMV issues (if that matters to you).

Trust me, you don't need 124 cubic inches for your bike to be fast...or fun.

What kind of mileage are you getting with that Thunderjet installed?

Not that it really matters, just curious. My brother had a T-jet installed on his 97 Superglide and he said it drank gas like mad.

FWIW a friend of mine loves the stroker kit.

You can just add another $2,300 for another 22" of motor.

Nothing beats cubic inches IMO.
Nothing beats cubic inches IMO ... Cubic Dollars will always beat cubic inches :>)

Maybe you're being obtuse? ... It was a "play on words" and an old adage we use to use when I was younger and drag racing ... It generally referred to the guys with really deep pockets and little experience. Sorry if I ruffles your feathers. No harm meant :>)

No feathers ruffled here.
Just wasn't sure what your point was.
I have a tendency to be very literal and I didn't understand what you were trying to say.
I guess my brain isn't online yet!!!

Speed = $ squared.
How fast can you afford to go?

I have a 95 flht with an Ultima 89" stroker in it.
S&S Super G, Edelbrock Manifold with ported heads to match it, a Crane 300 cam and a six speed.

It's been trouble free for about 30K.

Actually, I think it's an exponential equation. The more you aim for, the more it keeps costing, the final 10% costing as much as the first 90%.

What's the going rate for dollars to an hp these days?
