Patient would be an 85 Low Rider. Hillside would be doing the head work.

How much what?

Hillside quoted me something like 1700 for stage 2 headwork, cylinder work, pistons and gaskets

Stroker flywheels run about 1000

So (without labor) your looking at about $2,700 for 9" correct?

FWIW a friend of mine loves the stroker kit.

You can just add another $2,300 for another 22" of motor.

Nothing beats cubic inches IMO.

I'll be doing the labor

With the HP numbers from Scott, I think I'd be happy with 9 inches

I'm seriously toying with dropping in a 6 speed too, so I'm trying to spread the money out a bit.

I'm just curious if anyone has had any vibration related issues to the frame and such, seeing as this is a solid mount engine. Frame cracks, etc.

89" is a great motor, no more vibrations than a stock motor. Still have one as a backup engine that has been beat, long distance, bar hopping raced for around 6 years and a shame to say it is just setting but never know when the big cube engine might puke it's guts and old dependable is waiting.

S&S rotating assembly, Sachs prepped heads, gearing lowered with a OD6 in a Road King. A very dependable engine that will embarrass larger cubed engines, a cleaned up 103" in a Street Glide is no match. You will be happy and sounds like a Evo and runs like one should, only problem you will have to control is the urge to want more.

Make a note to your self: a 124" or 127" will fit in a garbage can and your wife will have no clue of your purchase when you take a garbage can to the garage

Stroker kits rock, downsides are higher piston speed and usually they burn a bit of oil but the fun you have riding them outweighs the negatives.
